What puzzle people say

Not your grandma's jigsaw. (Though she'll love it.)

“In essence, these are form-follows-function puzzle pieces.”
Core77Rain Noe · 2026
“…if you wanted your kid to grow up to be an industrial designer, introducing them to this sort of puzzle would serve them better than the traditional kind, where the cuts are arbitrary.”
Core77Rain Noe · 2026
“…a challenging abstract jigsaw puzzle that my son and I had a ball putting together.”

Made for sharing

One small table. Everybody leaning in.

It's small enough for a coffee table and tricky enough for the whole family. Kids start on the engraved backboard, puzzle pros go freeform, and somebody always shouts when the sneaky piece finally fits.

"Puzzle Bomb day is one of the favorite days of the month."

Puzzle Bomb customers, word for word · all 5 stars
I'm a monthly subscriber, and Puzzle Bomb day is one of the favorite days of the month in our household. I'm not sure how Chad keeps dreaming these things up, but they're always extremely enjoyable!

So much fun! I am not traditionally a puzzler, but I gave this months a try. Got it today and put it together in about an hour while listening to music. It was such a fun experience. The puzzle was unique, the pieces so cool, and putting it together was satisfying. Try it out! Not to mention, it comes very well packaged and ships crazy fast.

Oh my! I've always loved puzzles but these are out of this world. Even my husband, who would never touch a puzzle, has a hard time pulling away from these. Thanks, Chad, for your excellent work!

I just received my first subscription puzzle, and I’m hooked. Now I know how they can offer such a generous guarantee, no one would cancel! The quality, the attention to detail, and even the packaging, and ease of storage are incredible.

I've done over 400 puzzles with the Hoefnagel Puzzle Club over the last 5 years or so and your puzzles have been my favorite. They are so intricate and fun and beautiful and I wanted to thank you for this great puzzling experience. They're so relaxing and diverting from any present worries. I joined your new puzzle club too and just did the first puzzle which I also loved!
Jeannie L.Puzzle Bomb customer · Feb 2026
These puzzles are very high quality! Unique designs with bright colors, but the box only gives outlines --> NO SPOILERS! The boxes they come in are also adorable, compact, and perfect for a collection of amazing puzzles! Very excited to be a subscriber for surprise puzzles monthly!!…

These are smallish, but every bit as fun as a 1,000 piece puzzle. I'm absolutely hooked!

Insane puzzles! I do wooden puzzles, but had never seen anything quite like this. The puzzles are so intricately designed, the precision is incredible, and the people and customer service at Puzzle Bomb have all been top notch.

I love how unique these puzzles are! The vibrant colors and high-quality construction are something you can't truly appreciate until you see them in person… They are so cleverly designed that you are constantly being fooled in ways you never imagined. Even after a dozen of their puzzles I still find myself impressed when they trick me again.
JordanPuzzle Bomb customer · Oct 2025
This is truly something unique in the puzzle world, as I've never seen anything even remotely like these. I eagerly await each new release as each puzzle is so different from the previous one…
Dalton K.Puzzle Bomb customer · Oct 2025
I love how every one of Chad's designs makes you think differently about the solve strategy. It's not just cut and paste from puzzle to puzzle, but an entirely different experience. His thoughtfulness in the design of each puzzle really shines.
Anne McDougalPuzzle Bomb customer · Oct 2025
This was the most fun I have had puzzling in a long time (maybe ever.)… I love it when a designer/cutter fools me :)… This was so fun, and I am so proud of myself, as I didn't used the provided pattern. Highly recommended

Chad's designs are something else, in the best of ways. It's a category redefiner, breaking all the rules of puzzles.

Meet the makers

Caylyn, Chad and five Kickstarters.

Puzzle Bomb is a wife-and-husband team in the Kansas City area. Chad, a board-game guy for most of his adult life, sketches every puzzle by hand; Caylyn is "the administratively gifted half of the equation that Chad would be lost without". Since 2021, five Kickstarter campaigns have funded, each beating its goal. In 2026, the Bumfuzzled became a monthly subscription.
